Our client has been a leader in the household staff recruitment sector for the past 25 years. However, despite their dominance in the marketplace, they had never done any proper marketing before, instead relying on word-of-mouth and traditional sales tactics.   

The time had come to take their agency to the next level – and they requested the help and expertise of the Angelfish team to get them there.  

The Problem 

Despite their ongoing success in household staff recruitment, our client had never had a clear marketing strategy. Why? Well, they didn’t really need to. Thanks to their stellar reputation and excellent services, business had always been booming.  

However, the recruitment industry is changing, and with more and more agencies vying for attention online, our client needed to up their marketing game to stand out in an increasingly busy marketplace and future proof their consultancy.   

Basically, it was time to switch things up and make some changes – and they enlisted our help to do just that... 

 

The Solution 

Angelfish Marketing worked in partnership with our client’s leadership team to put a powerful, effective marketing plan into place to help them reach their business goals.  

They wanted to increase website rankings, improve the quality of their traffic, and attract high-quality candidates to their site so they could get ahead of the competition – and stay there.   

Luckily, as a recruitment marketing specialist, we knew exactly what to do to get them to where they wanted to be. Using our tried-and-tested Agency Accelerator programme, we created a powerful plan that was completely bespoke to their needs. Their tailor-made plan included:

Competitor Analysis 

By carefully studying our client’s key competitors in the household staff recruitment space, we were able to access the intel we needed to create a Growth Plan that set them apart from the competition.  

Persona Development 

Our persona workshop sessions allowed us to really get to grips with our client’s target audience. By diving deep into their existing and ideal customers, we were able to understand the needs, preferences, and behaviours of their audience and create a made-to-measure marketing plan.  

SERPs Analysis 

By analysing search engine results pages (SERPs), we were able to identify what keywords our client was currently ranking for and pinpoint any opportunities that could help them to improve their rankings.   

Pillar Page Creation 

Once our research was complete, it was time to put our plan into action. We started by creating an engaging pillar page focusing on one of their core offerings; housekeeper recruitment.   

Designed to address the wants and needs of our client’s target audience, the pillar page provided key information around their housekeeper recruitment service and enabled us to inform their content strategy. 

Topic Cluster and Internal Linking 

Next up, we created a content strategy using the tried-and-tested topic cluster model to enhance user experience, improve site navigation, and boost SEO. We created one blog and one blog optimisation per month, steadily building out the topic cluster and creating an internal linking structure that is integral to successful SEO.    

SEO Grow 

Our SEO Grow programme is designed to focus on both technical and on-page elements, enabling us to increase visibility for our client on search engines to ensure they started to climb the SERPs ranks.   

Link Building 

After several months of continued growth, our client was ready to add link building into their strategy too. By adding five links to the pillar page per month, we were able to build authority and maximise website visibility. 

Detailed Reports and Ongoing Analysis 

Finally, the key to successful SEO is to keep analysing and amending as you go. By providing regular, detailed reports, we were able to tweak our strategy as needed to ensure it remained effective and adaptable to market changes.   

The Results 

We were super chuffed with the results of this one! Firstly, our housekeeper agency topic cluster increased by an average of 10 places:

In addition, we also achieved four top 3 rankings, 32 top 10 rankings, 61 top 20 rankings, and 121 top 100 rankings:

As a result of our marketing programme, our client’s revenue increased quarter over quarter - resulting in an incredible 100% increase year over year!  

Finally, our paid ads resulted in a 251% ROI, with right-fit clients being targeted through refined keywords focusing on those looking for a nanny. We conducted in-depth keyword research to launch two targeted campaigns, one focused on wider range search terms, and one focused on location-based keywords in our client’s main areas.
